This piece of slight of hand with a coin is known as the French Drop, or the Tourniquet. It is used to make the audience believe you have taken a coin in one hand from the other.
Coin is held by its edges between left forefinger and thumb.
1) Right hand approaches to take coin from left hand.
2) When right hand forefinger and thumb are about to close on coin, left thumb allows it to fall into left palm. |

3) Right hand is closed and moved away as if it held coin. Left hand is held in an easy position and allowed to fall naturally to the side. |

SECRET
The moves are easy but the secret lies in steady practice before a mirror. |
