A number of pennies are gathered from the audience on a tray and are tipped into a hat. One spectator is then asked to contribute another penny and to make it secretly and put it in the hat and shake the coins up.
At once you put your hand in the hat and bring out the marked coin! |
SECRET –The tray is of metal and the coins placed on it become cold quickly. |

But the secretly marked coin has never been on the tray, so is still warm from the pocket when it’s dropped in the hat.
So all you have to do is feel for the coin that is warmer than the others. |
